United Utilities takes on Cumbrian Graduates and Apprentices

Graduates and apprentices, many from Cumbria, have been recruited to the United Utilities graduate and apprenticeship programme. In total, there are 35 new apprentices and 13 graduates, who made it through rigorous testing and interviews from the almost 2800 applicants that applied for the positions.

For the first two weeks, the new recruits familiarised themselves with the company and completed team-building challenges, including an MOD outward bound programme. Now, they’ll be joining the United Utilities’ workforce in the day-to-day running of the North-West’s water-supplies.

The apprenticeship and graduate programmes at United Utilities have made them one of the UK’s top 100 apprentice employers.
